Meeting Goals

The CeC simulation meeting is focused on developing simulation as well as analytical tools to advance understandings of coherent electron cooling (CeC).

  • Start-to-end CeC simulation(saturated due to small number of macro-particles in the slice containing ion), by Jun Ma;
• 08/04/2016:
  • PIC and Genesis (connecting modulator with FEL, and FEL with kicker), by Jun Ma;
• 07/21/2016:
  • Wiggler simulations (Genesis scaling with number of particles, evolution in kicker), by Jun Ma;
• 07/07/2016:
  • Wiggler simulations (larger domain but no enhancement in modulation observed), by Jun Ma;

  • Modulator simulations (quads, after fixing a bug causing the 'flat center' in energy modulation) and preliminary dipole (FEL) simulation, by Jun Ma;
